In addition to the UVB protection, Obagi Sunfader SPF15 contains 4% hydroquinone which helps to minimize uneven skin tone and brown spots. Hydroquinone, a skin lightening agent, is one of the most effective treatments to help address hyperpigmentation. It works to lighten dark spots and to correct uneven skin tone, leaving you with a brighter complexion.
Apply this medication to the affected areas of skin, usually twice daily or as directed by your doctor.
WARNINGS:
1. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, or lips. In case of accidental contact, patient should rinse eyes, nose, mouth, or lips with water and contact physician.
2. Sunscreen use is an essential aspect of hydroquinone therapy because even minimal sunlight exposure sustains melanocytic activity.
3. Contains sodium metabisulfite, a sulfite that may cause allergic-type reactions including anaphylactic symptoms and life-threatening or less severe asthmatic episodes in certain susceptible people. The overall prevalence of sulfite sensitivity in the general population is unknown and probably low. Sulfite sensitivity is seen more frequently in asthmatic than in nonasthmatic people.
