ALL ABOUT MUD MASKS

If you know me personally, you know I am a HUGE believer in mud masks. I feel that mud masks let me have my own personal spa day at home and I love the benefits they give my skin. The Borghese Mud Masks have become an ultimate favorite of mine over the last few months and used alongside my regular skincare, they’ve been a perfect addition to my self-care routine.

Benefits of Using a Mud Mask

Mud masks are known to improve blood circulation under the skin, cleanse the skin of dirt and impurities, moisturize and refresh tired skin and make the skin appear brighter, softer, and clearer.

What does it do for the skin? Similar to clay masks, mud masks are known for their antibacterial and exfoliating benefits. Mud masks focus on removing impurities from the skin, unclogging pores and absorbing excess oil.

The Borghese Mud Mask

Masking is a powerful way to infuse hydration and nourishment into your skin. Today, I want to highlight one of my ultimate favorite masks from Borghese! Funny story, I’ve known the brand since I was a little girl because of my mom! My mom has always been into the skincare world and always loved sharing her little beauty secrets with me at a young age. Her go-to product when her skin was feeling dull or she noticed she had clogged pores was the Borghese Fango Mud Mask. In case you didn’t know, Borghese is famous for its mud masks and women have sworn by them for decades!

Mud Mask Ingredients

Borghese Mud is a combination of Bentonite and Kaolin clay, minerals, extracts, and botanicals. Clay helps to deeply purify, exfoliate, and reduce your pore sizes, while the minerals, extracts, and botanicals nourish the skin. After 2-5 minutes, your skin looks refreshed, smooth, toned, and radiant.

For the skin to accept botanical extracts, major cellular activity is required. Their plant extracts are treated with natural enzymes. The Result: It allows for quick and easy absorption into the skin and better performance – your skin no longer needs to do the work!

How To Apply Your Mud Mask

As I said before, masking is my favorite skincare ritual because you can instantly see results. My skin always looks more refreshed and healthy when I apply it weekly. I’ve added my masking treatment into my weekly routine and my skin couldn’t be happier.

When applying this mud mask, I love to add a thick layer as if I am icing a cake! l keep the mask on for 2-4 minutes without letting it dry (letting your mask dry out will remove all the benefits from the clay). This allows for all the goodness to sink into the skin without drying it out. After 2-4 minutes, I remove the mask with warm water to keep my pores tight – Hot water is never recommended on your skin.

If you are like me and struggle with combination skin then you will love to experiment and multi-mask! I personally use the Advanced Fango Active Mud on my t-zone to detox and remove impurities and because my cheeks tend to get dry at times, I apply Advanced Fango Delicato Mud Mask for hydration (Which also gives you a light exfoliation). The Fango Mud Masks are also meant to be used on your body so feel free to apply them anywhere on your body you feel needs some extra love!

What I truly love about Borghese products is that you can have a spa treatment in the comfort of your own home. It is so easy to create the ultimate luxury spa experience with Borghese products and masks. From the smell to the way you apply it, to the results!
